The Communities In Schools of Brunswick County Parenting Education Program is a comprehensive program designed to meet the specific needs of parents and their children. The parenting program utilizes the Incredible Years, a 14-week evidence-based program that is offered to any Brunswick County parent or guardian of children between the ages of five and twelve. The program is offered at multiple locations and times throughout the year.
Communities In Schools of Brunswick County Parenting Education Program also offers the Circle of Parents (COP) support groups. COP group leaders work together with parents and children in a supportive and confidential environment to offer practical and effective techniques to build healthy, positive family dynamics. The COP groups currently offered in Brunswick County are Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and Single Parent Support Groups.
Each of the parenting education programs are provided free of charge by trained parent educators. Free childcare is provided on site for participants.
