Communities In Schools of Brunswick County is deeply grateful for The Orton Foundation’s generous sponsorship of our upcoming Cocktails for a Cause fundraiser, to be held at the Southport Community Center on Friday May 3, 2024.
The Orton Foundation, The Moore Charitable Foundation’s regional affiliate, is dedicated to the vitality of North Carolina’s Cape Fear River and supports the protection of its watershed and community through strategic and diverse partnerships. The Orton Foundation is proud to support cultural and historic restoration initiatives in the area. They also partner with the Brunswick County community to support health and community services. Communities In Schools appreciates The Orton Foundation’s commitment to supporting the needs of the Brunswick County community, and especially its youth. This important event will raise funds to help sustain and grow our dropout prevention services, currently serving 560 at risk students in 11 local schools. Communities In Schools has been working with Brunswick County Schools’ students for the past 29 years and has been able to do so because of the generosity of its donors.
