Landfall Foundation Grant to Aid in Sustainability

Communities In Schools of Brunswick County was honored to accept a $50,000 grant in August 2026 from The Landfall Foundation of Wilmington to support our Action for Success Program that provides dropout prevention programming in nine local schools. This is our first time receiving this level of contribution from The Landfall Foundation, which has generously supported us annually with smaller grants. This will have a significant impact on our sustainability and continued ability to provide targeted interventions during the 2026/2027 school year as we work with over 500 students, helping them to stay in school and prepare bright futures!
CIS representatives Mallory Wells, Program Operations Officer, and Success Coach Maureen Norcross (pictured L-R) graciously accepted this grant award on behalf of our organization.
The Landfall Foundation was established to support non-profit organizations and schools in the greater Wilmington area by providing individuals and businesses a meaningful way to support those in need. Their grants fund projects and programs in the areas of Health and Welfare, Education and the Arts. All grant dollars remain local, benefitting the residents of New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties. The Landfall Foundation announced its 2026 Grant Recipients in August. They funded 68 applications totaling $830,000. The Landfall Foundation continued its thirty plus year history of partnering with local organizations and listening closely to their needs. Communities In Schools of Brunswick County is go grateful to have been selected for one of their macro grants during this grant award cycle.
