Marilyn – Boiling Spring Lakes CIS Thrift Shop
CIS volunteer Marilyn Mills from Long Island, NY has been helping out at the Boiling Spring Lakes (BSL) thrift shop before it even opened in 2010, over nine years ago.
Marilyn is a regular volunteer at BSL and is responsible for organizing and stocking the housewares section. She keeps a watchful eye on the glassware, pots, and other kitchen and dining items. However, she admits that she does “a little bit of everything” depending on what is necessary. This volunteering keeps her busy, but she enjoys all the time she donates to CIS and other organizations, “I just love helping others,” Marilyn says.
