Cape Fear Memorial Foundation Grant Received to Support Action for Success Program

A $25,000 grant has been received to support the CIS Action for Success Program. This CIS program places Success Coaches in local high-need schools to provide additional support and intervention to at risk students outside of the traditional classroom to help them be successful. Services include tutoring, mentoring, social-emotional learning, behavior and attendance interventions.
The Cape Fear Memorial Foundation’s mission is to support not-for-profit organizations providing services that improve the health and wellness of the people of southeastern North Carolina. The Foundation’s objective is to support programs that improve the health and wellness of the people of southeastern North Carolina. Funding programs and organizations that promote health education, disease prevention, and provide direct medical and health services has been, and continues to be the priority of the Foundation’s granting philosophy.
CIS is extremely grateful to the Cape Fear Memorial Foundation for its support not only this fiscal year, but for their past support as well, which helps us provide consistent services to students most in need attending our local schools. With this support, struggling students can keep pace with their peers, stay engaged in learning and enjoy social, emotional and academic success.
